Before writing this blog, I had a thought that used to run in my mind each moment. What have the mostly populous countries done to follow religious harmony, be it small contributions or large?
In India, a very democratic and populated state, knowing to have more than 6 religions living, has taken up many initiatives. There was one project which I found interesting which was a temple and a mosque being built in the same compound in a village of West Bengal. Elders say when different people communities came to the village for some work years ago, the Hindu workers built a temple of Lord Shiva while the Muslim workers built the majar in the name of Baba Namallah Shah. The mill closed long back, but the twin places of worship continued to be taken care of on the ground where the factory once stood.
Even during the festivals of either community, both the majar and temple were equally decorated as people came together to celebrate, disregarding of which faith they belonged to. "The Creator is same, only the names are different," said a member of the Shibtala committee, Nirmal Adhikari, "If we worship one, how can we disregard the other?" The temple and the mosque are tended with peace and care. Also, there is another district in West Bengal which has both the worship shrines just beside each other.
The essence of all religions is one. Only their approaches are different. #ReligiousHarmony

that's unbelievable, very well written
A great example showcasing India's unity in diversity.
Good to see that people are respecting religions and practicing religious tolerance.
UNBELIEVABLE BUT REALISTIC
An interesting read! Definitely something worth to ponder upon. Good job!
