Hello readers. First of all, I like to wish everyone a happy Eid Al Adha! We haven't posted blogs for a long time now because I am travelling. But, this is one.
One of the most complex, beautiful and attracting architectures are the shrines of Buddhists and one of those is the Wat Arun.
The Wat Arun is located right on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand, and is made up of many stairs and spirals. You can also stand a chance to be present in the ceremony with the monks. The Wat Arun name is taken from Thai which means Temple of Dawn. It also derives its name from the Hindu god Aruna who is personified as the radiations of the sun. It was founded in the year 1656 CE.
Now, talking about its architecture. The Wat Arun is majorly famous for its prang. A prang is a tall-tower like spire which is carved very beautifully. The temple is surrounded by many Chinese soldiers. There is also the figure of Lord Indra in the temple.
Muhammad Ali once rightly said, "Rivers, ponds, lakes and streams - they all have different names, but they all contain water. Just as religions do - they all contain truths. I believe in one power, and that is the hand of God."
